January 07, 2022 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a second male found deceased near 6300 Scarlet Drive about 3:45 p.m. on Thursday (January 6).  

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Amri and K. Hale reported:  

On Wednesday (January 5) about 3:45 p.m., HPD patrol officers responded to a welfare check call at the above address and found a vehicle with an unidentified male inside.  He had suffered a gunshot wound and responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased.  

On Thursday (January 6), HPD homicide detectives returned to the scene at the above address to continue their investigation.  While searching a wooded area near the original scene, they discovered a second unidentified male deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.  

At this time, there are no known witnesses or suspects.
