January 05, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 9300 Pagewood Lane about 12:20 p.m. on Monday (January 4).  

The identity of the deceased male, 67, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer D. Vinton reported:  

The victim was driving a silver Toyota Camry westbound near the above address when he suffered a medical episode and failed to stay in a single lane.  The Toyota veered to the left and crashed into a flower bed on the north side of the street.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the man to HCA Houston Healthcare West where he was pronounced deceased.  Doctors believe the driver went into cardiac arrest just prior to the crash.  

The investigation is continuing.
