February 14, 2022 - Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 3400 Scott Street at about 3:15 a.m. today.

The identity of the deceased female victim, 35, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer T. Phillips reported:

A silver Ford F-250 pickup truck was driving eastbound at the above address when the vehicle left the roadway. The truck struck a power pole, rolled over, then struck a second power pole. The female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

The male driver, 40, was not injured. Investigators determined he was not intoxicated and speed may have been a factor in the crash. No charges have been filed at this time and the investigation will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
