February 7, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 7800 Bellaire Boulevard that occurred about 10:15 a.m. today.  

The identity of the male victim, 73, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rodriguez and Officer H. Nguyen reported:  

A brown Toyota Tundra pickup truck was traveling northbound on Osage Street and turned right onto Bellaire Boulevard.  As the victim, a bicyclist, was crossing Bellaire, possibly in the crosswalk, and heading northbound, he was struck by the pickup truck. 

The victim was transported to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.  

The driver, 51, of the Tundra, remained at the scene and was not found to be intoxicated.  He was questioned and released.  

No charges have been filed at this time as the investigation is continuing.
