December 27, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 2900 Jackson Street about 11:35 p.m. on Sunday (December 25).

The identities of the two deceased persons - a male, 52, and a female, 30 - are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer J. Louangpho reported:

The male was driving a black Lexus GX 470 SUV at a high rate of speed southbound on Jackson Street when the vehicle left the roadway, struck two separate curbs and then crashed into a tree at the above address. Paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene and transported the woman to the hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The investigation is continuing.
