December 21, 2022 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of an infant at 12300 block of Kitty Brook Drive about 3:15 a.m. today.

The identity of the female infant, 6 months, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Ferrell and A. Hernandez reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a call to assist Houston Fire Department personnel at the above address. Officers were advised by family members that the infant suffered what's believed to be medical emergency. Paramedics transported the infant to a local hospital, where doctors pronounced her deceased.

The investigation is pending autopsy results.
