December 12, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 400 North Loop West (North Interstate Highway 610 West) about 2:30 p.m. last Friday (December 9).

The identity of the deceased female, 33, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Patterson and Officer D. Ortega reported:

The female was driving a black Cadillac CT5 westbound near the above address when the vehicle struck the retaining wall on the right side of the freeway. The Cadillac then veered across four lanes of traffic and struck the retaining wall on the left side of the freeway and came to a stop on the left shoulder against the wall. The female driver of the Cadillac was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The female might have suffered a medical episode leading up to the crash. The investigation is continuing.
