August 29, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 12000 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 11:10 p.m. last Friday (August 26).

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Alejandro and Officers J. Crisler and D. Thompson reported:

The driver of a black Mercedes Benz CP was traveling at a high rate of speed southbound near the above address when he lost control on the ramp to the Sam Houston Parkway eastbound. The Mercedes struck the concrete retaining wall, rolled over the wall and fell onto the ramp below in the 100 block of the Sam Houston Parkway. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

No other persons or vehicles were involved in the crash.
