August 22, 2022 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the fatal shooting of a man found at 13501 South Freeway (State Highway 288) about 8:25 a.m. on Saturday (August 20).

The identity of the deceased male, 34, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Cass and Detective J. Campbell reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found a vehicle pulled off on the shoulder of the northbound lanes. Officers found the deceased male suffering from a gunshot wound in the driver's seat. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.

At this time, there are no known suspects. The investigation is pending the man's cause of death.
