Investigation into Fatal Crash at 6700 South Highway 288
August 19, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6700 South Highway 288 about 1:25 p.m. on Thursday (August 18).
The identity of the deceased male, 52, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer S. Le reported:
The man was driving a black Nissan Maxima southbound near the above address when he lost control of the vehicle and slid sideways across several lanes of traffic. When the vehicle reached a grassy embankment, it rolled several times and the man was ejected.
Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the man to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
No other persons or vehicles were involved in this crash.
