August 8, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 4960 Eastex Freeway (North U.S. Highway 59) about 1:10 p.m. on Saturday (August 6).

The identity of the deceased male, 24, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer M. Keita reported:

The male was operating a black Yamaha FZ07 motorcycle at a high rate of speed on the Eastex Freeway connector ramp to the North Loop West (North Interstate Highway 610 West) when he struck a side wall. The motorcyclist was ejected and fell to the ground below. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased.

No other persons or vehicles were involved in this crash. The investigation is continuing.
