Investigation into Fatal Crash at 14000 Gulf Freeway
April 26, 2022 - Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 14000 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) about 4:45 a.m. today.
The identity of the deceased male is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Harris and Officer R. Saenz reported:
The male was driving a gray Chevrolet Impala southbound on the freeway at the above address when he attempted to pass another vehicle, changed lanes aggressively and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle struck the concrete divider, spun and then flipped upside down. It came to a rest next to the concrete divider.

he driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Impala's passenger was not injured. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The investigation is continuing.
