April 25, 2022 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male found at 8600 Woodway Drive about 12:20 p.m. on Saturday (April 23).

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Duncan and Detective L. Lovelace reported:

The manager of an apartment complex at the above address was advised by a resident that the front door of an apartment unit had been open all night. The manager and a security guard entered the apartment and found the victim unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased.

At this time, there is no known suspect(s) or motive.
