April 25, 2022 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 5900 Greens Road about 6 p.m. on Saturday (April 23).

The suspect, Dandrae Tawan Heath, 37, is charged with murder in the 180th State District Court. A booking photo of Heath is attached to this news release.

The identity of the victim, 33, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Graf and K. Amri reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim deceased.

Further investigation and witness statements identified Dandrae Tawan Heath as a suspect in this case. He was arrested and subsequently charged for his role in the incident.
