April 22, 2022 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results on apparent human remains found at 8707 West Tidwell Road about 7:25 a.m. today.

The identity, gender and cause of death are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Huff and J. Nguyen reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to an anonymous call regarding skeletal remains found behind a motel at the above address. Officers checked the area near the motel and found what appeared to be human skeletal remains inside an abandoned building. At this time, it is unknown how the remains came to be in the building.

The investigation is pending tests on the remains, and the manner and cause of death.
