April 18, 2022 - Houston police are investigating the death of a male found at 3300 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) service road about 10:45 a.m. on Saturday (April 16).

The identity of the male and his cause of death are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Cass and Detective J. Campbell reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a report of a male found lying under an overpass with trauma to his face. Houston Fire Department paramedics also responded to the scene and pronounced him deceased.

The investigation is pending the male's cause of death.
