April 11, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 4300 South Kirkwood Road about 10:20 p.m. on Sunday (April 10).

The identity of the deceased male, 32, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer M. Keita reported:

The male was believed to be crossing the street at the above address - not in a crosswalk - when he was struck by a green Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck exceeding the speed limit.  The male driver stopped.  Paramedics were called and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

The driver, 27, consented to a blood draw.  He was questioned and released pending further investigation.
