April 8, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 11300 East F.M. 1960 Road about 6:25 a.m. today.

The identity of the deceased female, 34, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer J. Wu reported:  

The victim was driving a black Jeep Cherokee westbound near the above address when she failed to stay in a single lane and crossed into the eastbound lanes of F.M. 1960.  The Jeep then struck a Peterbilt garbage truck, head-on. 

The female was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The driver of the garbage truck, who was not injured, remained at the scene and was questioned and released.  

The investigation is continuing.
