April 4, 2022 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 5700 South Gessner Road that occurred about 6:15 a.m. on Saturday (April 2).  

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Roberts and Detective L. Lange reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a hospital check call at memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital and found a male deceased from a gunshot wound.  

Further investigation indicated an altercation occurred in the parking lot of a nightclub at the above address, during which the victim was shot by an unknown suspect(s).  The victim was transported by private vehicle to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  

At this time, there is no known suspect description.
