April 4, 2022 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one male and the wounding of a female at 6100 South Freeway (State Highway 288) about 8:40 p.m. on Saturday (April 2).

The identity of the male victim, 28,  is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  A female, 25, was treated at the scene for a non-fatal gunshot wound.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Amri and K. Hale reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found the male inside a vehicle on the freeway.  Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.  The passenger had suffered a gunshot wound and was treated and released by medics.

At this time there is no known suspect(s) or motive in this shooting.
