September 29, 2021 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a woman found at 2742 Jeanetta Street about 5:10 p.m. on Tuesday (September 28).  

The woman is identified as Desiree Jerez, 25.  

HPD Homicide Division Detectives P. Pak and A. Henderson reported: 

HPD patrol officers responded to a welfare check call to an apartment at the above address.  Officers made entry to the residence and found Ms. Jerez unresponsive and lying on the floor.  Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced her deceased.  There were no obvious signs of trauma.  

The investigation is pending Jerez's cause of death, to be determined by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
