September 16, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man at 10910 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) service road that occurred about 11:55 p.m. on Wednesday (September 15).

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Escobar and C. LaFour reported:

Officers responded to a meet-the-firefighter call at an apartment complex at the above address and upon arrival were advised the victim was found lying in a breezeway suffering from multiple stab wounds.  HFD paramedics pronounced the man deceased.  

Further investigation determined there had been an argument earlier in the evening between the victim and a suspect.  Hours later, witnesses reported hearing a male yelling for help.  When they went to investigate, the witnesses saw the victim lying on the ground and called 9-1-1. 

Detectives are following up on leads on a possible person of interest in the case.
