October 22, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 1500 Ruthven Street that occurred about 9 p.m. on Thursday (October 21).  

The identity of the victim, 44, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Smith and Detective M. Estep reported:  

The victim was near the above address when he was approached by an unknown suspect and shot.  The suspect then fled the scene in an unknown direction.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.  

At this time, there is no known suspect description or motive.
