Update: Suspect Arrested, Charged in November 2020 Fatal Shooting at 2106 Summit Meadow Drive
October 4, 2021 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 2106 Summit Meadow Drive about 6:30 a.m. on November 19, 2020.
The suspect, Yosiah Spencer (b/m, 21), is charged by the Fort Bend County District Attorney's Office with murder in the 434th State District Court. A booking photo of Spencer is attached to this news release.
The victim, Brian R. Curry, 41, of the above address, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Sharp and E. May reported:
Mr. Curry confronted a suspect breaking into a vehicle in his driveway at the above address when he was shot at least one time. Paramedics pronounced him deceased a short time later.
Further investigation led to the identity of Spencer as the suspect in this case and he was arrested on September 30 and subsequently charged in the shooting.
