UPDATE: Suspect Charged, Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 6602 Madrid Street
November 26, 2021 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 6602 Madrid Street about 7:25 p.m. on November 21.
The suspect, Quinton Jermaine Wilson (b/m, 21), is charged with murder in the 184th State District Court. A 2021 booking photo of Thompson is attached to this news release.
He is accused in the killing of Giovanie Thompson, 25.
HPD Homicide Division Officers B. Stephens and C. Vaughn reported:
Mr. Thompson was in a parking lot of an apartment complex at the above address when a male approached him, shot him several times and then fled the scene on foot. Paramedics pronounced Thompson deceased.
The suspect was described only as a black male.
Further investigation led to the identity of the suspect as Wilson and he was subsequently charged.
