May 27, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 6603 Hirsch Road about 2:50 p.m. on Thursday (May 27).  

The victim, Leo Smith, 18, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.  

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer J. Cimeni reported:  

Mr. Smith was at a stairwell in an apartment complex at the above address when he was shot in the upper back.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported him to a hospital.  

At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
