May 27, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 926 Lester Street about 3:40 a.m. today  (May 27).  

The victim, Joshua Sandoval, 28, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.  

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer B. Godoy reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and learned Mr. Sandoval had been shot once in the torso.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported Sandoval to the hospital.  

A preliminary investigation indicated Sandoval came upon two masked suspects walking in and around the residence.  One suspect shot Sandoval and then both suspects fled the scene on foot.  

At this time, there is no description of the suspects.
