Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 2000 Brackenridge Street
May 17, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of another at 2000 Brackenridge Street that occurred about 2:55 p.m. on Friday (May 14).
The identity of the deceased victim, 47, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Thompson and L. Patterson reported:
HPD patrol officers responding to a shooting and found both victims at the above address. One male victim was lying in the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The second victim was running towards responding officers.
Both victims were transported to area hospitals. The first victim was pronounced deceased. The second victim, 41, was treated and released.
There is no known motive in this incident. The suspects are described only as two black males who fled in a white four-door sedan.
