Investigation into Fatal Crash at 2500 Genoa Red Bluff Road
May 13, 2021 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 2500 Genoa Red Bluff Road about 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday (May 12).
The identity of the male victim, 19, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer C. Loring reported:
The victim was driving a black Chevrolet Tahoe westbound near the above address when he lost control of the vehicle, struck the median and crossed into the eastbound lanes of traffic. The Tahoe struck a red Ford Mustang and rolled on top of the vehicle, pushing it backward. The Tahoe then struck a black Mercedes GLS450, also traveling eastbound on Genoa Red Bluff, and landed upside down on the median.
The victim was ejected and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The male driver, 61, of the Mustang, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. The female driver, also 61, of the Mercedes, was treated at the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
