May 3, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 1200 East Loop North (East Interstate Highway 610 North) that occurred about 6:30 p.m. last Friday (April 30).  

The victim, Jose Guevara, 47, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.  

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer M. Althaus reported:  

Mr. Guevara was in the passenger seat of his pickup truck being driven by his son, 17.  As Guevara's son attempted to change lanes, he almost struck a tan Lexus.  The passenger of the Lexus fired several shots at Guevara's truck and he was struck once in the lower back.  Paramedics transported Guevara to the hospital.
