March 30, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the fatal crash at 1100 Dairy Ashford Road that occurred about 2:35 p.m. on Monday (March 29).  

The identity of the male victim, 22, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Clark reported:  

The victim was driving a maroon Ford Escape at a high rate of speed northbound near the above address when he struck a median and crossed over into oncoming lanes of traffic.  The Escape then struck a pole and knocked a traffic light device to the ground.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the driver deceased.  

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.  The investigation is continuing.
