March 15, 2021 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 3000 Elgin Street about 4:45 a.m. on Saturday (March 13).

The identity of the female victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer H. Nguyen reported:

The victim was driving a black Honda Civic at a high rate of speed when she lost control, drove off the road and struck a gas station sign at the above address.  Paramedics pronounced the driver deceased.  No other persons were involved in the crash.

The investigation is still ongoing.
