Investigation into Fatal Shooting of Man Found at 4439 Bissonnet Street
March 8, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the apparent accidental fatal shooting of a man found at 4439 Bissonnet Street about 10:50 p.m. on Saturday (March 6).
The victim, 28, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Dudley and C. LaFlour reported:
The victim was riding in a vehicle somewhere in Houston when he began spinning a pistol with his finger and shot himself. Two females inside the vehicle witnessed the shooting. One of them, the driver, stated she tried to take the victim to a closed medical clinic in search of help. She then stopped at a gas station at the above address (in Bellaire, TX) where police were notified.
Bellaire police officers and firefighters, along with HPD patrol officers, responded to the scene. The victim was subsequently taken to the hospital where he died.
There are no charges in this incident.
