March 2, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of a woman at 12121 Richmond Avenue about 2:55 p.m. on Monday (March 1).

The deceased male suspect, Andrew Wang, 64, suffered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.  The female victim, 54, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Sergeant C. Bartlett and Detective J. Montalvo reported:  

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the above address and learned a woman had been shot in the chest and forearm and transported to a hospital.  Officers found an unresponsive male, Wang, with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.  Paramedics pronounced him deceased. 

Investigators interviewed witnesses and determined Wang shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself.  The gun used in the shooting was recovered at the scene.
