March 1, 2021 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 9100 Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) service road that occurred about 5:45 p.m. last Friday (February 26).

The identity of the male victim, 37, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Clark and Officer E. Morgado reported:

According to witnesses, the victim was driving a maroon GMC Jimmy erratically and at a high rate of speed along the northbound lanes of the service road at the above address when he struck a curb and then drove alongside a noise retaining wall.  The vehicle then began a series of rollovers and the victim was ejected.  The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  There were no other persons or vehicles involved in this crash.

The investigation is continuing.
