UPDATE: Charges Upgraded on Suspect Arrested in Fatal Shooting at 233 Rosamond Street
March 1, 2021 - Charges have been upgraded against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 233 Rosamond Street that occurred about 11:35 p.m. last Thursday (February 25).
The suspect, Tracy B. Miles (b/m, 46), is charged with murder in the 339th State District Court and felon in possession of a weapon in the 209th State District Court. A booking photo of Miles, released last Friday (Feb. 26), is attached to this news release.
Miles was initially charged with being a felon in possession of a weapon.
The identity of the victim, 34, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. LaFour and A. Dudley reported:
Officers responded to a disturbance call at a convenience store at 330 Rosamond Street and located a male (Miles) outside the store. Miles was detained for further investigation and officers recovered a pistol from him.
During their investigation, Miles advised officers of a second scene at an apartment complex at the above address where a male was found with multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced deceased by paramedics.
After an autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences determined the victim died of a gunshot wound, charges of murder were accepted by the District Attorney's Office. Miles was already in police custody when his charge was upgraded.
