June 24, 2021 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 22700 Eastex Freeway (North U.S. Highway 59)  service road about 11 a.m. on Tuesday (June 22).  

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Montgomery County Forensic Office.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Harris and Officer M. Ramos reported:  

The victim was driving a white Ford Ranger northbound on the service road at the above address when his truck was struck from behind by a silver Toyota Camry.  Paramedics arrived and pronounced the driver of the pickup deceased at the scene.  The male driver, 17, of the Toyota remained at the scene.  He was determined not to be impaired and was questioned and released.  

No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
