June 21, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 3801 Omeara Street about 10:30 a.m. on Sunday (June 20).  

The victim, age unknown, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  

HPD Homicide Division Detectives D. Crowder and J. Brown reported;  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and found the victim with a gunshot wound.  He was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to the hospital.  

A preliminary investigation indicated the shooting may have been accidental.  No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
