June 21, 2021 - The fatal shooting of a man at 4700 Wenda Street about 8:50 p.m. on Saturday (June 19) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.   

The identity of the victim, 38, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Vaughn and Z. Brumley reported:  

The victim and suspect got into an altercation, which led to both of them sustaining injuries.  The victim was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  The suspect was transported to an area hospital to be treated for injuries.
