June 3, 2021 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 1500 Broadway Street that occurred about 9:10 p.m. on Wednesday (June 2).

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Benavidez and Officer J. Best reported:

The driver of a black Chevrolet Monte Carlo was traveling northbound at the above address when he struck a pedestrian (victim) in the middle of the roadway.  The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  The male driver, 66, of the Chevrolet was questioned, did not show signs of intoxication and was released.  

The investigation is continuing.
