June 1, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6800 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) service road about 4 p.m. last Friday (May 28).
 
The victim’s identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
 
HPD Homicide Division Detectives R. Waterwall and K. Collier reported:
 
HPD patrol officers responded to a reported major crash involving a white Dodge Charger in the inbound lanes of the service road at the above address.  Upon arrival, they were told by Houston Fire Department paramedics that the driver of the Dodge had been pronounced deceased.  He had suffered an apparent gunshot wound.  The vehicle was struck multiple times by gunshots.
