July 13, 2021 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 2400 State Highway 6 South about 11:35 p.m. on Monday (July 12).

The identity of the female victim, 44, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer K. Hines reported:

The victim was operating a blue Kawasaki motorcycle northbound at the above address when she crashed into the rear of a dump truck.  She then left the roadway and landed in a ditch.  The dump truck's driver may not have been aware of the crash and failed to stop and render aid.  The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics.
