Investigation into Shooting at 9800 Centre Parkway

July 12, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 9800 Centre Parkway about 2:35 a.m. today (July 12).  

The victim, Desmond M. Williams, 36, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.  

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers J. Blum and D. Crandall reported:  

Mr. Williams was traveling northbound near the above address and approaching the intersection of Bissonnet Street when a vehicle described as a white GMC with black hubcaps approached.  A suspect(s) fired multiple shots from inside the vehicle and Williams was struck.  Williams' vehicle then struck another vehicle in the rear and then struck a light pole at a nearby business on the north side of Bissonnet.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported Williams to the hospital.  

Williams reported seeing the suspect vehicle several times in the area prior to the shooting.  

The suspects are described only as two black males.
