Suspect Sought in Fatal Shooting at 11305 O'Donnel Drive
July 10, 2021 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 11305 O'Donnell Drive about 3:05 a.m. today (July 10).
The suspect, Nestor Garcia-Leos (H/m 23), is charged with murder in the 179th State District Court. He is accused in the death of Eric Chavira, 31.
A booking photo of Garcia-Leos, who is not in custody at this time, is attached to this news release.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Roberts and Detective L. Lange reported:
According to witnesses, Garcia-Leos had a prior dispute with Mr. Chavira and confronted him at the front door of his residence at the above address. Garcia-Leos then produced a firearm from his waistband and shot Chavira multiple times. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced Chavira deceased.
Garcia-Leos fled the scene in a silver Chevrolet Cobalt with either temporary paper license plates or no license plates, black wheels and a spoiler.
