Investigation into Fatal Crash at 6600 West Fuqua Street
July 06, 2021 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6600 West Fuqua Street about 10:20 p.m. on Monday (July 5).
The identity of the female victim, 35, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Uribe and Officer Z. Radcliffe reported:
The victim was driving a blue Mazda 6 eastbound at the above address when she ran the red light and struck a red Kia Forte traveling northbound on Chimney Rock. The impact caused the Mazda to strike a tree.
Paramedics were called and transported the Mazda driver to Ben Taub General Hospital where she was later pronounced deceased today (July 6). The male driver, 31, of the Kia was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
