Investigation into Shooting at 10400 Eastex Freeway

July 01, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 10400 Eastex Freeway (North U.S. Highway 59) about 11:40 p.m. on Wednesday (June 30).  

The victim, Shannon Brantley, 22, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.  

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers J. Windham and C. Brown reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and learned Mr. Brantley had been shot while driving southbound on the Eastex Freeway.  Brantley then struck another vehicle, causing his vehicle to become disabled.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported Brantley to the hospital with gunshot wounds to the leg, arm and torso.  

At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
