January 11, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 3300 Anita Street about 4:30 p.m. on Sunday (January 10).

The victim, Douglas Curry, 41, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective K. Saulsberry reported:

Mr. Curry and a witness were walking on the street near the above address when they were approached on foot by an unknown black male.  The male shot Curry once in the abdomen and then fled on foot in an unknown direction.  

At this time, there is no known motive for the shooting.
