February 15, 2021 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred at 9900 Beechnut Street about 6:50 p.m. last Friday (February 12).

The identity of the male victim, 58, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer C. Cisneros reported:

The victim, a pedestrian, was attempting to cross the eastbound lanes of the above address - not in a crosswalk - when he was struck by an unknown truck.  The driver of the truck fled the scene without attempting to stop and render aid.  The victim was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
