February 12, 2021 - Houston police have learned a man injured in an auto-pedestrian crash at 1000 Wayside Drive that occurred about 9 a.m. on February 4 has died.  

The identity of the victim, 65, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer M. Lares reported:  

The driver of a blue Chevrolet Cruze was traveling southbound on Wayside Drive near the above address and struck the victim, who was crossing Wayside Drive.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to Memorial Hermann Hospital where doctors pronounced him deceased on Thursday (February 11).  

The male driver of the Chevrolet remained at the scene and was question and released.  

No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
