December 31, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the stabbing of a man at 3517 Engelke Street about 4:55 a.m. today.  

The victim, Matthew Rodriguez, 34, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.  

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective A. Otero reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to an assault call at a residence at the above address and learned Mr. Rodriguez had been stabbed multiple times in the chest by a female suspect known only as "Crystal."  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported Rodriguez to the hospital where he underwent surgery.  

At this time, there is no known motive.
